Last week Byron Bay local Tones & I, real name Toni Watson, moved inside the Top 10 of the AirCheck National Radio Airplay chart after gaining 101 spins. ‘Dance Monkey’ was spun across 20 stations with Nova 1069 Brisbane the track’s top supporter adding 46 plays. She is also the first female to top the ARIA charts since Delta Goodrem in 2015.
Ariana Grande released new music, teaming up with Social House on ‘Boyfriend’ at No.27. The KIIS network was out in front, adding 63 spins across their Sydney and Melbourne stations, while the track’s first play was on Nova 100 Melbourne.
Canadian singer-songwriter Ali Gatie took out this week’s biggest mover title with ‘It’s You’ up 141 spins. In it’s seventh week of tracking, the song was heard on 18 stations with The Edge Sydney accounting for 43 plays. The Nova network also supported the track, adding spins during Breakfast last week.
Guy Sebastian’s Choir spent a second week in the top spot inching ahead, meanwhile Ed Sheeran held three places in the Top 10: ‘I Don’t Care’ with Justin Bieber (No.3), ‘Beautiful People’ with Khalid (No.4) and ‘Cross Me’ featuring Chance The Rapper and Pnb Rock (No.8).
