The two ARN radio stations in Townsville, Power100 and Star 106.3 have done some reshuffling of the deckchairs with both stations getting a new breakfast show and line ups more reflective of their target audiences.

Power100‘s breakfast duo Archie and Donny have switched stations to Star 106.3 and commence at 530am next Monday March 3. Current breakfast host Dannii (Danielle McMurrich) is moving to mornings with a live DJ mix in the studio at midday.

Wildy

At Power100, Wildy (Darren ‘Wildy’ Burgess) moves onto breakfast there. He’s been with the station since 1999, when it was Sea FM and before it rebranded from Zinc.

The changes seems more in alignment with their listening audience. In the October 2024 Xtra Insights survey of the region the two SCA stations, Hit 103.1 and 102.3 Triple M, were top, with Power100 moving into 3rd off the back of loses to the youth audience listening to Star. Dannii had a co-host Jack at that stage too and also a flourishing side hustle as DJ Delicious so the later starts will likely suit her better too.

The changes commence for all on Monday March 3.
