The annual edition of triple j magazine, ‘Triple J Annual 2012’ has been released to cover the year that was. The station has also announced its summer lineup.
In its annual edition, Triple j presenters and personalities, including Tom and Alex, The Doctor, Zan Rowe, Dr Karl and Nina Las Vegas, will navigate through the big events of 2012, from Azealia Banks’s visit to Mark Zuckerberg’s big year.
It also dedicates a large section to the Triple J awards, including:
- Winners and nominees from each category
- An interview with Album of the Year winners, Tame Impala
- An interview with Music Video of the Year director, Kris Moyes
- An interview with Unearthed Artist of the Year winners, The Rubens
Another section suggests ’40 acts to feast on this summer’, including the bands Bat for Lashes, Alt-J, Ball Park Music, and Japandroids.
Triple J also announced its summer lineup.
After spending 12 sleep polishing their radio skills on triple j mid-dawns, Jake & Stav from Bluejuice are set to take over summer Sunday nights.
The station also welcomes back Max Lavergne and Veronica & Lewis who have had various fill in shifts throughout 2012.
Taking a break from their usual dance genre shows, Nina Las Vegas takes over weekday nights from Monday to Thursday, while Deacon Rose will do nights on Friday and Saturday. Nazeem Hussain, one half of comedy duo Fear Of A Brown Planet and regular guest on triple j, will cover late nights.
