After Grace’s career in Marine Conservation took her away from home for so long, triple j wanted to do something special for her on her return with the help of the breakfast show and Missy Higgins.

Keeping a secret, which the whole of Australia was in on, was made possible by the fact she was based on the remote island of Seychelles, off the coast of Africa.

triple j crossed live to Tom yesterday as he was waiting for her at Melbourne airport, along with her family, a marching band and stacks of triple j listeners.

Later that night the station threw a huge ‘Under The Sea’ themed party for her, with DJ sets from Missy Higgins, Illy and Alex from Oh Mercy.
