The Tasmanian town to get a visit from Vance Joy and Peking Duk.
After dropping hints all week, triple j breakfast duo Ben & Liam have finally confirmed the location of triple j’s One Night Stand.

Over the past 15 years triple j has shared this live music event with regional towns all over the country, from Mount Isa QLD (2017) to Geraldton WA (2016).
On the importance of St Helens’ hosting the 2018 One Night Stand, Mayor and local woodchopping champion Mick Tucker says “This concert will not only bring the young people of St Helens together but give them a huge sense of pride in our little town. We might be small but this just shows we punch above our weight.”
And on what makes St Helens so special he added “St Helens is the action capital of Tasmania — with our water sports, game fishing and walking trails, and now the 2018 One Night Stand!”
While St Helens isn’t the real capital of Tasmania, it is the biggest town on Tasmania’s East Coast, an hour and a half from Launceston by car, with a population of just 2,500, the traditional owners of the land are the Kunnarra Kuna group of the Pyemmairrener people.
