105.1 Triple M Melbourne will extend its temporary breakfast show, with Wil Anderson, Dale ‘Daisy’ Thomas and Rosie Walton staying on until the end of the radio year. The interim lineup was going to wrap up at the end of the AFL season on Friday October 4. That date is now November 30. Wil Anderson’s flight to Melbourne was delayed by 12 hours this morning with him just arriving as Daisy and Rosie announced the news, and almost sounding surprised at the update:
Update On Triple M Melbourne’s Breakfast With Rosie, Wil & Daisy
The last few weeks have seen significant upheaval for the Triple M network of stations across the country with Perth and Adelaide also losing established Rush Hour Drive shows and hosts. The industry rumour has been that Dave Hughesy Hughes might reunite with Kate Langbroek in 2025 on Triple M Melbourne breakfast, but with Rosie, Wil and Daisy to stay on, any change announcement still feels a way off.
This decision could also be reflective of something brewing on the takeover front. While SCA stated openly on the release of their FY24 results that they were in active negotiations to sell their TV assets, the Triple M network was highly desired by ARN when they were looking to takeover SCA. More to come I suspect in big SCA change before the radio year is out.
