Triple M moving forward with Julia dance rap

Triple M is the official station of the 2010 Federal Election dance craze, Julia Gillard MP’s  Moving Forward. Choreographed to the Prime Minister’s favourite catch phrase, the ‘Moving Forward’ dance eventuated from much banter around the Triple M studios, which inspired audio producer Sideshow-Mike Andersen to take on the choreographing mission.

Encouraged by Austereo CEO Guy Dobson, Sideshow-Mike brought to life the Moving Forward dance, highlighting some of the finest moments of the 2010 Federal Election to date with the lyrics: “Under my leadership we’ll move forward, forward, back, downwards, forward.”

PM Gillard saw Triple M’s ‘Moving Forward’ dance on Channel Nine’s Today Show and called The Grill Team to share her thoughts:

Gus Worland: What do you think of the song?  We played a little bit of it now.  It has absolutely gone wild.  Not just in Australia but across the world.  You’re a superstar!

Julia Gillard: Well thank you very much for all of that effort.  I’ll have to work out some dance steps to go with it.

Byron Cooke:  Oh, we’ve got them for you.  Don’t worry about that.

Julia Gillard: Now I’m really worried.

Mark Geyer: Now we’ve got the election out of the way, let’s get back to the dance.  I reckon PM Julia Gillard would be a sensational boogyer?  I reckon she’d boogey woogey.

Julia Gillard: I don’t know what on earth has caused you to come to that conclusion.  I think the evidence isn’t going to support you.

Byron Cooke:  Did it concern you at all Prime Minister that part of the dance involved moving backwards?

Julia Gillard: Well that’s the bit Tony Abbott would do.

Gus Worland: Boom boom.
