Triple M Revs Up Sat’d’y mornings with ‘The Stick Shift’

As Triple M powers on with its push for more blokes, it will launch its all new two-hour format ‘The Stick Shift’ tomorrow morning (August 1st) with five-time Bathurst and V8 Supercar Championship winner Mark Skaife and motorsport expert Neil Crompton.

Embracing everything to do with cars, the program will be networked out of Melbourne where it will air first from 10am – 12pm. It will then be heard at 11am – 1pm in Sydney and Brisbane.

The first show’s guests include Australia’s Formula One whizz Mark Webber, motorsport legend Fred Gibson and Valvoline Cummins V8 Supercar young-gun Lee Holdsworth.

Mark Skaife says, “The Stick Shift is something that’s really new in terms of concept. We’re looking forward to being on Triple M every Saturday morning talking about the enjoyable parts of driving plus things that frustrate you on the road, speaking to celebrities and finding out what their first car was – quirky stuff, it won’t be traditional content.

“We’ll look at today and yesterday, giving things a modern flavour. We’ve already lined up the likes of motorsport legends Allan Moffat and Colin Bond. A lot of areas of will be assigned to the listener, people can email in and we’ll tailor the show to what they want to talk about,” says Skaife.
