Racecaller and broadcaster Brian Markovic died on July 18, aged 70, after a long battle with illness.
Brian was well know as a caller of harness and thoroughbred racing for Melbourne stations 3UZ, later known as Sport 927 and RSN.
Professional highlights included calling his own horse, Blueagle, to Group 1 victory in the 1995 Victoria Derby.

A funeral service to celebrate Brian’s life will be held at Mornington Racecourse next Monday July 27 at 11am.
