Rumours have been circulating within the radio industry that things are coming unstuck in the Virgin/Macquarie Radio partnership, but reports of a divorce are not true according to Virgin’s Ian Grace.
“We are jointly continuing to look at opportunities,” Grace told radioinfo.
Ian Grace says he makes “no comment on the press reports” (printed in another media publication) that there is likely to be a split.
But he did tell radioinfo:
“Today, Patrick McCall from Virgin, Sam Chisholm, Mark Carnegie and David Gordon from Macquarie and I, all met and everything is still moving along… we are jointly continuing to look at opportunities.”
Another rumour circulating is that the consortium is interested in acquiring the Triple M network. No Macquarie spokespeople have said anything official on this rumour at this time.
