Former The Voice contestant Darren Percival is joining 92.7 Mix FM on the Sunshine Coast to host a Sunday morning show called ‘Up Close and Percival’.

Percival is one of the most popular contestants of all time from Channel Nine’s The Voice and is a Sunshine Coast local. He was runner up on the show in 2012, losing out to Karise Eden. He has been a regular guest on Mix FM, filling in as an announcer several times and proving popular with listeners.

Content Director Ryan Khay is happy to have the singer officially onboard.

“He is such an iconic Sunshine Coaster, we wanted to give him his own show. Who doesn’t want those dulcet tones and larger than life personality on their station? His passion for radio, and The Sunshine Coast is infectious.”

You can hear Darren Percival from 8-10am every Sunday morning on 92.7 Mix FM. The show will include plenty of special music features as well as interviews with his many famous friends.
