WAAPA broadcast course team wins Vice Chancellor’s award

Peter Holland and his team in WAAPA’s Broadcasting course have been awarded the 2008 Vice Chancellor’s citation for Outstanding Contributions to Student Learning.

WAAPA is Edith Cowan University’s performing arts faculty. The Broadcasting courses are post graduate degrees that looks at technical and presentation skills in a broadcast media setting.

Holland is a former tv newsreader and ABC 720 presenter, who still presents live broadcasts from Perth for ABC Classic FM. He leads a team of lecturers including Jo McManus, David Smith, John Duff and Steve Gardiner, who collectively won the prestigeous award.

Applications for WAAPA broadcasting courses open soon in three areas:

Graduate Certificate in Broadcasting (Radio)

Graduate Certificate in Broadcasting (Television)

Graduate Diploma in Broadcasting.
