The 11 year run of NXFM Newcastle’s Steve and Kim Breakfast Show will come to an end in October.
The show will not be returning to the NXFM airwaves in 2013.
In announcing the show’s axing, SCA Newcastle General Manager Steve Smith said, “One of the most difficult decisions in the entertainment business is to know when to ‘wrap’ a show. The long-term plan for NXFM means that time is now.
“Whilst the show will not be returning, we’re hopeful of working with each member of the show in some capacity in the future. For now, we just want to celebrate their achievements from 11 incredible years,” said Mr Smith.
Highlights of the past 11 years;
The You Choose Wedding, That’ll Do Greyhound Dog, The Love Triangle, Cuffed Couple, The Naked Wedding, Newcastle’s Top Car Model, Running of the Man Brides, Stevecorp Stadium, Race for the Rock, Dude, Where’s My Car?, Pash-Off, and many other Social Experiments that have made us laugh.
The Steve and Kim Breakfast Show is actually made up of three team members; Steve Graham, Kim Bauer and Damian Botha. As such, Damo has also been scratched from next year’s line-up.
The Steve and Kim Breakfast Show‟s last show will be on Friday 26 October. Listeners will have the chance to be a part of the Final Show Celebration.
