WorldAudio wants to buy a third Melbourne Station

WorldAudio Limited would like to buy a third AM licence in Melbourne after finalising a confidential out of court settlement of its legal dispute with GB Radio (Australia) Pty Ltd.

WorldAudio CEO, Andrew Thompson, says the Supreme Court proceedings were brought to enforce its exercise of a call option over the broadcasting apparatus licence for the 1620 AM frequency in Melbourne.

“The proceedings will be terminated on the registration of this licence in the name of WorldAudio Communications Pty Ltd by the ACA.

“This is a further step in securing expanded Melbourne broadcast coverage, which the WorldAudio National Radio 2 commercial AM network already offers via 1629 AM (city and south) and 1620 AM (east).”
