River 94.9’s Krista and Ash for breakfast have decided to hunt down and expose south east Queensland’s XXXX Bar Flies.

According to the dictionary, every pub has a bar fly. He is the bloke who has HIS stool in HIS spot at the bar, which no one dares not sit on, if he is not around.

He is one of the good guys, who you could sit and listen to for hours on end without falling asleep! He is part of the furniture at his local and helps to make his pub what it is.

In the past week, Krista & Ash have spoken to Peter from the Glamorgan Vale Hotel. He thinks nothing of eating his pets, because “the kids can just get another one!. (He is talking chooks and sheep.)

Then there was Red Voight. The best venue for his wedding reception he reckons in his local: the Mulgowie.

But, Krista & Ash have not been able to go past Roger Ramjet from the Commercial Hotel, Boonah. He says he is “smooth with the ladies” and likes to “coordinate his socks with his shirts”. And, he believes XXXX does to him what proton pills did for the original Roger Ramjet.

Yes, Roger Ramjet has been crowned River 94.9’s XXXX Bar Fly. On Friday, Krista & Ash will head to the Boonah Hotel from 5.30pm to salute this ‘wonderful’ character in their region.
