Michelle from Quaker’s Hill is the owner of a brand new Hyundai i30, thanks to Hope 103.2’s FIND HOPE – WIN A HYUNDAI car giveaway.
Throughout May, the team from Hope hit the streets all across Sydney – from Kingswood to Randwick, Mt Colah to Cronulla – giving Sydneysiders the chance to win a brand new Hyundai i30.
From the thousands of entries received, 60 were drawn to join the Hope 103.2 VIP Car Party at Castle Hill Sydney last Saturday.
On the day, each finalist chose a party popper, which they popped on-stage with Hope 103.2’s Breakfast Team – Aaron and Erin. Those who popped blue streamers moved through to the Grand Final!
The 15 Grand Finalists each then chose a purple key. Each tried their key in the lock, but it was key number 11 that unlocked the grand prize! This key had been chosen and created by a locksmith, so even the team at Hope 103.2 didn’t know which key would be the winner!
On unlocking the prize Michelle said, “It’s awesome, thank you so much Hope – you’ve given me Hope! I’ve never known what a new car smells like, but they smell fantastic.”
A single mum of 4 and grandmother of 2, Michelle had just finished night shift at 7am before quickly showering and changing to come along to the Car Party by 9am. She was almost tempted to stay at home and catch up on much needed sleep, but really wanted to join in the fun and meet the team.
Michelle entered the draw by finding Hope 103.2 at St Mary’s. Her car was leaking oil, to the point where friends requested she not park in their driveways, and there were a number of times it wouldn’t start. Working with the aged and people with disabilities in respite care, this brand new car will be much a more reliable and comfortable ride for this dedicated shift worker. “You just don’t know how much this is going to change my life!”, Michelle said.
Once the realisation of winning a brand new car had the chance to sink in Michelle said, “I’m still pinching myself. I had a moment recently – my car didn’t start when leaving work at 11pm, and while I waited for someone to pick me up I just sat there and prayed, ‘I really, really need a new car’. So it just goes to show the power of prayer! Thank you so much, it will just make so much of a difference in my life.”
