Young people still listening to the radio

A survey by marketing company LifeLounge has found that young people are not giving up radio listening despite the plethora of other media offerings available to them.

The annual survey, which studies media consumption habits of people between 16 and 30 years old, found that radio listening rose slightly, from an average of 3.8 hours a week last year to 3.9 hours this year.

Online usage and mp3 listening were important factors in young people’s media consumption habits. Internet dominates consumption, with 8.4 hours per week spent on the net. Time spent using mobile phones was 2.3 hours per week and tv watching fell sharply, from 4.8 hours per week last year to 3.5 hours this year.
