Philippa Mooney has replaced Emma Bruer as the Nova 100 News Journalist, and Emma is now heard on Nova 969’s Fitzy & Wippa. Pip Mooney has been with Melbourne’s 91.5FM since May 2010. Pip started in radio in 2005 as News Presenter for 4TO Townsville before joining Star FM & The River in Albury as Editor/News Reader. In February 2006 she became part of 92.5 Gold FM’s news team and then moved to television in May 2007 as a reporter for the Nine Network Queensland returning as News Editor/ Journalist for Sea FM in July 2008. Prior to joining Melbourne’s 91.5FM, Pip was a Media and Communications Executive for Surf Life Saving Queensland.
Matt Smithson has also joined the Nova news team in Melbourne. Matt was casual News Journalist for the Nova Network in Adelaide. Matt got his start in radio in July 2007 as breakfast News Journalist for Adelaide’s community station Fresh 92.7. A year later he joined 5AA’s News team and in December 2008 joined Nova 919 as Breakfast News Journalist.
