Respected Canberra radio and tv presenter Peter Leonard has been awarded the Chief Minister’s Award for Community Media. Chief Minister John Stanhope said: “Peter is well known to Canberrans as a proud, popular and vocal supporter of the ACT community. The award acknowledges outstanding contributions to the community by ACT media organisations or individuals. This year, for the first time, an individual has been chosen as the recipient of the award.” Peter Leonard previously won the Canberra Citizen of the Year award in 1991.
