Brodie Kane‘s Kiwi Yarns podcast will now be video-led and produced at Stuff Group’s augmented reality studio facility in Auckland, a facility that is also available to hire.
Kane will have a custom-designed virtual set to yarn with remarkable Kiwis from all walks of life. The episodes will still feature the same long-form, in-depth chats that have made the podcast a hit with now an immersive audience experience through multiple camera angles.
Stuff Digital Managing Director Nadia Tolich said:
“We have some of the best broadcasting talent in the country, be they on camera, on the studio floor or in the control room. We deliver ThreeNews every night live at six from our studio, and work with content partners to produce a number of brilliant programmes in the studio like Paddy Gower’s The F#$%ing News and The Hui. I know our audience will love this new video format for Kiwi Yarns and feel even more part of the conversations Brodie has with awesome Kiwis each week.”
The first video episode debuted on March 31, and featured ThreeNews presenter Samantha Hayes sharing tales of her childhood, career and family life. It’s available on stuff.co.nz, the Kiwi Yarns homepage and Stuff social media channels including YouTube, as well as all major podcast platforms.
