Former radio executive launches business podcast service

Former Triple M Content Director Scott Menz is launching a new venture, aimed at helping businesses and organisations create their brands’ own bespoke podcast series.

The Sound Business, which officially launches March 28, is a company that leans on Scott’s 20+ year experience in creating and producing radio programs, allowing businesses to reach new audiences through branded podcasts.

He says, “The need for businesses and organisations to communicate to their internal teams as well as market their brand through podcasting is increasing, but most don’t know where to begin. We make it simple – from strategy to production. It’s an exciting time for brands to be heard.”

Scott began his career in audio in the late 1990’s as a sound producer for Nova’s Hughesy and Kate show and went on to produce and direct programs at networks all over Australia.

He says integrating his experience “on the tools” in the edit suite, along with coaching and development experience as a Content Director, will provide an end-to- end point of difference for podcast-curious brands.

“EDMs and email updates may connect with some of your staff and customers, however podcasting with The Sound Business can reach your audience wherever they are, in their own time. We can help develop a podcast series with content to engage internal staff or convert customers to brand fans. The sky is the limit!”

The Sound Business has been working with Meat and Livestock Australia and The Australian Butchers’ Guild to develop podcasts to speak specifically to their industries, and they have more partners in the works in the coming months.
