Hamish & Andy have regained No 1 position on the Triton Australian Podcast Ranker for April. Mamamia Out Loud slipped to No 2 with what looks like a near 400K drop in monthly listeners since March, and a million less downloads too. However it also appears that only 23 episodes were released in April, rather than the 30 that were available the previous ranker, so perhaps that had something to do with it.

After relaunching their podcast with LiSTNR The Inspired Unemployed debuted at #23 with 223,000 monthly listeners. It’s A Lot with Abbie Chatfield departed the Ranker, after she left LiSTNR for Acast, whose entire podcast suite do not feature on the Ranker.

SEN Breakfast is the highest radio catch up podcast, at No 8. What is of interest about their move from 10th to 8th is that in April they actually had 40K less monthly listeners.

The New York Times podcast The Daily made the top five for the first time, beating the local ABC News Top Stories. This is the first time in the top 3 for Sky News Australia Update too.
