In what really is a coup for the ABC, Jessica Radburn returns to the broadcaster, and Australia, to take up a newly created role of Head of Audio on Demand. She will report to Head of Audio Ben Latimer.
Jessica joined ABC Television a decade ago as a lawyer and business affairs manager. She was appointed Head of Content Australia and New Zealand for Audible in 2016 with Audible promoting her to roles in the US and Germany where she became a senior director. Three years ago, still in Germany, she joined Wondery as Head of International Podcast Content overseeing internationally successful podcasts such as Morbid, Hysterical, Small Town Murder and How I Built This with Guy Raz.
Jessica made the announcement on LinkedIn that she was leaving Wondery last month.
This shows the ABC’s commitment to their increasingly successful, and expanding, suite of audio on demand products. In last month’s Triton Australian Podcast Ranker the ABC had four podcasts in the top 20 with the top three, ABC News Top Stories, Conversations and ABC News Daily, between them having more than 5.5 million downloads in September.
Jessica commences the new role on November 1.
