Kate Watson appointed Executive Director & Editor of The Squiz

Kate Watson has been appointed as Executive Director & Editor of The Squiz. She will lead operations for that and Squiz Kids, overseeing content strategy across all platforms and products under The Squiz brand.

Claire Kimball, Squiz Founder, said on LinkedIn:

“Kate has been essential to everything we’ve built. As an early adviser and shareholder, she was my first hire in 2018. From there, we co-created the Squiz Today podcast, and she innovated with News Club, and drove our commercial growth. She deeply understands our audience and the values that underpin The Squiz.”

Squiz Today was ranked in the top ten of the Triton Australian Podcast Ranker throughout most of 2025.

Claire continues as Founder/Managing Director and Editor-at-Large of Squiz Media. Both can be also heard on the News Club podcast.
