Steen: Before we even got together, we had an option for a show that we wrote about a couple trying for a baby with IVF, and then both our children are IVF babies.

Sarah: Yeah, we had a really odd, spooky life imitating art, where, yeah, we wrote a script, it got optioned, and then we got together, and it felt like, should we be doing… I didn’t like the idea of playing a couple who couldn’t have children if we were going to, as a couple, try and have children.

Steen: Which we didn’t know at the time, that was a…

Sarah: And then, really bizarrely, we couldn’t conceive naturally and did IVF, and we’re like, this is so spooky. It’s like we knew it in advance. But also, Steen told me that he wanted to have children with me before we even kissed each other.
