Mel Robbins atop the Australian Podcast Ranker again

Over the festive break, while many radio shows and podcast stars like Hamish and Andy took a break, American author and former lawyer Mel Robbins stormed to No 1 on the Triton Australian Podcast Ranker for the first time. Now, in the February edition, she has not only retained No 1, but consolidated it, despite much of the regulars of the ranker returning. Her near 1.8 million monthly listeners is double No 2, ABC Top News Stories.

Returning to the top 20 is the catch up radio podcast from Kyle and Jackie O and tie ins like Happy Hour with Lucy & Nikki, It’s a Lot with Abbie Chatfield and Life Uncut. Notably absent after switching to Acast is Casefile True Crime, which is a shame.

The upcoming federal election sees the ABC’s Politics Now at #47. Hamish and Andy, who only returned to podcasting in March dropped out of the top ten.

February 2025 had the ranker’s highest-ever average weekly listenership, reaching just shy of 7 million people. ARN iHeart was the top podcast publisher, LiSTNR No 1 in sales representation.
