Mitch Tambo gets real about parenting on The Heart of It podcast

On the latest episode of Nova Podcasts’ The Heart of It, hosts Cam and Ali Daddo chat to Australian singer/songwriter Mitch Tambo and his wife Lele.

They talk candidly about about toxic male behaviours and Mitch opens up about the stigma which sometimes comes with being a step-parent.

Mitch says “I’ve had interviews on the radio where they’re like, oh, Mitch you’re a step-parent, and it’s National Foster Carer Day tomorrow, can you talk us through what it’s like to be a step parent? I’m like, whoa, let’s not compare me to a foster carer … even at home, like Lele said, the girls call me Dad, Mitch, Daddy, Uncle, Dad. I’ve got four different labels, but to me, they’re just my daughters.”

New episodes of The Heart of It are released weekly on Sundays. Find the latest eps on the Nova Player or wherever you get your podcasts.
