Move Over Mama joins ARN iHeart

Just over a year after top rating Hot Tomato breakfast host Emily Jade O’Keeffe and her now 14 year old daughter Millie Valentine started Move Over Mama together, it has joined the ARN iHeart podcast stables.

Move Over Mama was a first in Australia – teen-focused, and Millie hosting with her mum. After four seasons the duo have built a loyal following among both demographics, having raw, funny, and honest conversations with some of the country’s most inspiring voices while reflecting on adolescence.

Emily Jade said:

“When we started Move Over Mama, we just wanted to create a safe and fun space for Millie and other teens to hear from people who’ve lived through the awkward, exciting, scary mess of growing up. To now be part of the iHeart family is just incredible — it shows that there’s a huge audience hungry for these stories.”

The latest episode features Olympic gold medallist Ariarne Titmus (pictured main with Emily Jade and Millie) who talks about her teenage years spent in the pool — from waking up early after school formals to train, to managing her period around major meets and navigating her recent health scare involving a tumour and subsequent fertility issues.

Millie Valentine said:

“I love getting to ask the questions I wish I’d heard answered when I was younger — and sometimes still want answers to now! Teens go through so much, and it’s cool that our stories matter and that big names like Ariarne Titmus want to share theirs with us.”

The upcoming fifth season will have a brand-new studio setup. Emily Jade and Millie Valentine are happy to be creating something quite unique, where teen stories matter but mama still gets a word in too.

You can listen to Move Over Mama on the free iHeart app or wherever you get your podcasts.
