The ABC has launched TassieCast, a news podcast for Tasmanians from Burnie to Bruny Island and everywhere in between.

Every Friday, host Airlie Ward will look at and unpack the local stories dominating the headlines.

She said:

“I’m excited to be working on a podcast that is a first for ABC NEWS. Tasmanians love their ABC and we’re stoked to give them something new. It shows the public broadcaster’s commitment to expanding digital formats that meet the audience where they are.”
