Scotty Masters has wrapped up on Canberra’s 2CA to give his meat smoking side hustle and red hot go.

Masters had presented 2CA breakfast alongside Paul ‘Holmsey’ Holmes (pictured Holmsey left, Scotty right) for 18 months, a return to radio after the unhappy end to the breakfast show he hosted with Nigel Johnson on Hit 104.7 for eight years.

Canberra GfK Radio Survey 2 was out this week with 2CA and the Classic Breakfast steady. Nigel and his now co-host Kristen Davidson on Hit 104.7’s sister station Mix 106.3 were No 1 in breakfast and, for the station, overall.

An additional loss for 2CA is the death of radio legend Ron E Sparks who had been the voice of the station for the Capital Radio Network for three decades.
