This time hosted by BlakCast Founder, Mundanara Bayles, storytellers will include Erub and Larrakia Emmy-Award-winning producer and writer Aaliyah-Jade Bradbury, Filipino-Murrawarri ARIA-winning multi-instrumentalist, composer, and rapper Dobby and Koori and Noongar comedian, lawyer and broadcaster Micah Kickett.
Each reveal how their diverse backgrounds have shaped who they are, from Aailyah’s rise from a plumbing supplies store to becoming the first Indigenous Australian woman to win an Emmy to Dobby’s exploration of the power and connection behind hip-hop and Micah’s unique journey from the outback to some of Australia’s biggest comedy stages.
On launching Season 2, BlakCast Founder and host of Find & Tell Mundanara Bayles said:
“I’m so honoured to be the host for this season, following in the footsteps of the amazing Jamilla Rizvi who hosted season 1. The stories you will hear are deep, personal and inspiring and it is an absolute honour to showcase First Nations’ stories and story tellers as part of this co-production between BlakCast and iHeart. I hope listeners feel inspired to take meaningful action in support of First Nations peoples and issues in this country – something that is now just as important as ever.”
The BlakCast Podcast Network, in partnership with iHeart, is dedicated to empowering First Nations People and people of colour. BlakCast is supporting BIPOC creatives to reclaim their narratives, strengthen cultural identity, and foster a more inclusive Australia.
