As an on air announcer at River F.M. / 2NCR FM Lismore for 40 years and a board member for over 20 years, I can state categorically we were on air a few months prior to Bathurst.
Every so often this spurious claim by them comes up and every time I refute it.
WE had local member Doug Anthony as the minister back in 1976 award us the very early licence and we went to air months before Bathurst, we are still going strong.
