Spotify’s AI DJ is now taking music requests, with those of you who have Premium accounts able to curate listening sessions in real-time.

The change comes after listeners wanted to be able to interact with the DJ and have more control over their listening sessions with Spotify’s founder and CEO Daniel Ek saying:

 “Since launching for our Premium users in 2023, DJ X has become one of our most beloved features and I’m excited to see how this will make your experience even better.”

You can find the new function by putting ‘DJ’ in the search tab. Press play and DJ will create a curated mix of music and commentary tailored to you. When you want to change the vibe, press and hold the DJ button in the right-hand corner with a beep when DJ is ready. Use your voice to ask for the kind of music you want to hear or if you’re not sure you can skip to the next section with a quick tap of the DJ button.
