Indigenous activists have broadcast on 3CR since the station began 50 years ago, in 1976 from studios in High Street, Armadale.
Annually, 3CR’s independent Blak Media team mark Australia’s Invasion Day on January 26 with programs highlighting current campaigns to right past wrongs.
At 7am on Monday Breakfast, guest host Marisa speaks to First Nations campaigners and organisers from around the continent.
9am is ‘Our Land, Our Law’
From 10am, in an Invasion Day Special Broadcast, 3CR will broadcast speeches from the Naarm rally; conversations with people attending the march; connecting with Aboriginal activists from across the continent at the forefront of campaigns for land back, restoration, restitution, and real treaties; and learning about the conditions for how this may happen.
At 5pm, the Climate Action Show will feature Matthew Jeffrey, the Wadi Wadi Man and First Nations Support at Rising Tide Newcastle in November 2025, Gurridyula Gabba Wunggu, the Wangan and Jagalingou and Waddanangu Cultural Custodian protecting the sacred Doongmabula Springs and Gomeroi and Ngiyampaa Public Servant and singer suspended for the sign “No pride in Genocide” on his guitar, Jayden Kitchener Waters.
