Vic Lorusso, atn Chief Executive Officer, gtn Global CEO and Sydney radio breakfast traffic reporter of 26 years will debut on a new network from next Monday July 20, with SCA‘s 2DayFM and Triple M 104.9.
SCA has a longstanding contract with atn, but now Vic will be heard as the station’s regular traffic reporter instead of the previous roster of other atn voices.
Vic started when he was nineteen years old and in year 12 at school, doing traffic reports for 2WS, now GOLD 101.7. He went above and beyond in his role as the guy in the sky, available for grabs at short notice and happy to engage with the on air teams and listeners. He was announced to be parting ways with ARN last week.
Matthew O’Reilly, SCA Head of Broadcast Content, said:
‘Vic Lorusso is an absolute institution on Sydney radio, and we know how much his voice means to the city’s drivers. For a quarter of a century, Sydneysiders have relied on Vic’s unmatched knowledge and reassuring presence to navigate their daily commute. He has a strong bond with the city and we are thrilled to give him a new home on 2DayFM and Triple M, ensuring his trusted expertise stays right where it belongs on Sydney’s airwaves.’
Vic added:
“I am delighted to be joining the 2DayFM and Triple M breakfast teams. I grew up listening to these iconic Sydney stations, so I am thrilled to now be part of their on-air success. SCA and atn share a long-standing trusted partnership which I am immensely proud of. I am delighted to continue supporting the commuters of Sydney and reporting across atn’s network.”
gtn delivers traffic, weather, news, fuel and entertainment content to more than 91 million people each week across Australia, Brazil, Canada and the UK.
