Security breached at Nova Melbourne

Chopper breaks into Nova’s Big Red Door.

The notorious Mark Chopper Read breached Nova 100’s Big Red Door competition this morning.

After $10,000 was won by Chris from Broadford yesterday, correctly guessing an American dollar note, a brand new item was placed behind Nova’s Big Red Door. The locked door has been infuriating Melbourne as part of the station’s current tactic and proved too intriguing for the infamous Read.

During Nova 100’s Hughesy & Kate breakfast show this morning, two contestants provided incorrect guesses for the Big Red Door item. While Chopper was in Nova’s Melbourne studios waiting to do an interview with Hughesy & Kate, the show’s Executive Producer momentarily left her desk to make Chopper a tea. Chopper seized the moment, using his criminal skills to break into the Big Red Door.

Hughesy said: “Even though he has massive health issues, he’s still working.”

As Nova’s Big Red Door had been opened without a correct guess, a new item has been placed behind the door today and Nova has beefed up security on the locked door to ensure no further breaches are possible.

Nova’s Big Red Door has been running for three weeks, having begun on Sunday 11 August. The comp will continue for a further week. Listeners have to guess what’s behind Nova’s Big Red Door to win cash.
