1116 SEN survey results

Craig Hutchison discusses Survey 2 with Sam McClure.

As reported by radioinfo yesterday, sports broadcaster 1116 SEN today reviewed its ratings results announcements in a discussion between Crocmedia CEO Craig Hutchison, and SEN ‘Time On’ host Sam McClure, the latest installment in SEN’s 8-part video series.

‘We’ve committed to doing this all year,’ said Hutchison of the format. ‘And we’re thrilled with the outcome today, couldn’t be happier.

With the station increasing to a 3.1% share across all people 10+ adding 24,000 listeners in Survey 2, McGuire cited the decision to send Gerard Whateley to South Africa to cover the Test series, and the addition of more live sport contributed to the upswing.

‘To grow 24,000 listeners survey on survey, I think percentage-wise that’s  about the best of all the stations, in terms of cumulative audience, we’ll take that every day of the week.’

On-air talent was also described as a boon for the sports broadcaster.

‘We’re obviously pretty biased, but the combination of Gerard Whateley and Anthony Hudson would have to be the single best one-two punch in Australian radio at the moment,’ Hutchison said.
