Char’d Belfield has officially the crowned the best chook in Sydney by a busload of chicken devotees and 2Day Breakfast’s Nath & Emma who visit the seven Chicken Shops declared finalists across the city.
Over the last three weeks, Nath & Emma asked Sydneysiders to vote for their favourite chicken shop, whether a big-name chain or a local family gem.
Even some celebrities called with their own favourites:

Kelli Holiday: The Char in Bondi
Matt Moran: The Rooster in Katoomba
Guy Sebastian: il Chooko in Maroubra
Once the votes were in, Nath & Emma revealed the official finalists and recruited 30 passionate chicken lovers to represent the city for 2Day’s Chicken Shop Showdown. On Thursday March 5, the team boarded a bus and hit the streets, travelling across Sydney to visit each finalist location, where our taste testers sampled the goods and delivered their verdicts.
