Friday February 13 is the launch of the first 2Day Secret Set, a new live music concept featuring surprise, intimate performances from Australian acts in unexpected locations all across Sydney.
2Day’s new Nath & Emma Breakfast Show, will ditch the ticket drops, queues, and tour schedules and bring live music directly to listeners. The station committed last year to playing more new music than any other commercial radio station in Sydney and increase their support of Australian artists. The 2Day Secret Set further removes the barriers between artists and fans, creating spontaneous and accessible live music moments.
The first Secret Set is a cheeky Macca’s run turned rave. CYRIL, the Australian music producer who’s taken the world by storm, will take over The Strand Arcade in the city from 6 pm, access will be first-come, first-served.
CYRIL topped Spotify’s Australian Music Global Impact List had the most played song on Australian radio in 2024 and is up to 3 billion streams worldwide, having now worked with Teddy Swims, Ed Sheeran, David Guetta & more.
Now, CYRIL is bringing his music directly to the people at the venue he loves most.
CYRIL said:
“I’m really excited to be performing at McDonald’s for 2Day’s first Secret Set! Both 2Day and McDonald’s have played important roles in my journey. 2Day was one of the first radio stations globally to back me, and my Macca’s bucket hat holds a special place in my heart.”
Kiri Martin, Hit Network Senior Music Director / Event Partnerships & 2DayFM Assistant Content Director, said:
“2Day Secret Set is all about stripping live music back to its most exciting elements – surprise, connection and incredible Australian artists. Led by Nath & Emma, this is 2DayFM doing what we do best, creating unforgettable moments and bringing the music straight to our listeners.”
CYRIL’s 2Day Secret Set will be heard again on 104.1 2DayFM on Monday February 12 from 12noon. More 2Day Secret Sets will be revealed on air and across 2DayFM’s social channels in the coming weeks.
