Macquarie Radio Network will launch a video news service today, signalling further focus at the station on cross platform delivery.

An announcement of the new video news service is expected this morning, when CEO Angela Clark and the senior executive team will outline the commercial and programming rationales for the video news service and other digital content.

2GB is already leading the race towards digital radio by trying a range of innovative programming initiatives, and has had a strong web presence for some time.

News Editor and Current Affairs Director Jason Morrison was previously in a senior editorial position in the Channel Ten newsroom and has experience in the unfamiliar field of vision which will come in handy as 2GB’s radio newsroom ventures into this new field.
