2KY takes Supernetwork News

The Bill Caralis Supernetwork has begun to provide its network news service to 2KY Racing Radio Network, after Friday’s closure of the 2KY newsroom.

The Racing Network operates 104 affiliated network stations throughout NSW and is owned by the Tabcorp Group of companies, which owns the NSW and Victorian TABs.

The Caralis Supernetwork is supplying its independent national news service from its hub station, 2SM’s network newsroom in Sydney, by way of the Supernetwork Uplink to the Optus B1 satellite for distribution by SKY on Optus B3.

With the addition of the new racing stations, Bill Caralis says his Supernetwork will become “the largest supplier of network news in NSW, being heard on 158 affiliated stations and translators throughout NSW.”

“This is the start of a mammoth news network for the Supernetwork and is very much in keeping with our company’s desired expansion and audience reach in NSW.

“I believe that this is only the start of a very long and rewarding partnership and I am very pleased to be associated with Tabcorp,” says Caralis.
