2TM’s Dan Saunders took the plunge into a freezing cold ice-bath for 2 whole minutes to assist Tamworth’s Billabong Clubhouse with their annual “Freezin for a Reason” fundraiser.

Saunders and 6 other local identities have spent the last two months drumming up support to raise funds for the Clubhouse, a local not-for-profit organisation that supports adults living with mental health problems with an inclusive environment and activities including gardening, meditation, cooking and painting.

The 2TM afternoon host smashed his donation target, raising over $1000 for the Clubhouse, with the collective group contributing more than $5K.

Saunders took part after being personally impacted by mental health issues in the past, saying:

“Your friends will ask, are you ok?, which is great but sometimes you need that next level of support which Billabong Clubhouse offers the community”

Starting with 2TM in October 2023, Saunders has immersed himself in the Tamworth community (as well as ice baths) hosting trivia, supporting local sport, and exploring the region on his weekends off.
