4BC gives Brisbane a big love bite

News Talk 1116 4BC, the Sofitel Brisbane and the Heart Foundation have teamed up to give Brisbane the World’s Biggest Love Bite and share the love with early morning Brisbane commuters on Valentine’s Day.

Chefs from the Sofitel will bake a very large cake in the shape of a Love Heart, which will be sold to Brisbane commuters on their way into work. With the help of the 4BC Breakfast show with Peter Dick and Ross Davie, they’re asking for a gold coin donation for one piece of the cake. All proceeds raised on the day will go towards the Heart Foundation’s lifesaving research programs.

Chief Executive Officer of the Heart Foundation, Cameron Prout told radioinfo: “Cake is a treat food that should only be eaten once a week in a healthy eating plan. But on Valentine’s Day people can enjoy our cake without guilt because it is baked using a Heart Foundation recipe from our Deliciously Healthy cookbook. Even though it is a Chocolate Raspberry Brownie cake, it is baked with a healthy alternative to butter, using reduced fat yoghurt and sunflower oil.”

4BC Breakfast announcer Peter Dick added, “The World’s Biggest Love Bite is a fun way to show our support for an important cause. Cardiovascular disease is still Australia’s number one cause of death and we want the people of Brisbane to be made aware of this fact and give them the opportunity to save lives.”

The World’s Biggest Love Bite can be heard on News Talk 1116 4BC, and will be at the Sofitel entrances to Brisbane Central Station from 7am on Valentine’s Day Tuesday 14 February.
