It’s almost a year since the military took control of the government in Thailand.
Phuket station 91.5 FM has been off air the entire time, along with thousands of smaller commercial stations
At the time of the coup radioinfo spoke to Australian Kristy Meyer who was working at Live 89.5 about what unfolded on May 22nd (read here).
With the drama now history and as the anniversary approaches all the paperwork is completed and 91.5 is about to flick the on switch.
So what have the team been doing since the coup? They’ve spent the past 11 months focusing on the development of their online listener base; today Phuket Island Radio has listeners from over 100 countries.
