After a two-year break in 2020-21, and current ABC Chair Ita Buttrose the lecturer in 2022, The Andrew Olle Media Lecture will be held on Friday October 27, 2023.

The lecture was established in 1996 to honour the memory of ABC radio and TV broadcaster Andrew Olle, who died in 1995 of a brain tumour. The lectures focus on the role and future of the media.

Previous lecturers include Kerry Stokes (2001), Lachlan Murdoch (2002), Ray Martin (2008), Lisa Wilkinson (2013) and Waleed Aly (2016). This year’s will be announced in August.
