Apprenticeships in Electronics and Communications offered by Broadcast Australia

Broadcast Australia has launched a recruitment campaign to encourage budding technicians to apply for the company’s 2011 Electronics and Communications Apprenticeships.

HR Advisor Liz Scannell, who is running the program, says the 2011 apprentices will get unparalleled first hand experience of this ever evolving industry:

“This is a great opportunity for people who have a keen interest in all wireless communications, particularly TV, radio and telecommunications. The nature of the work is not labour intensive, so we are seeing a keen interest from both men and women in applying for this intake. All you really need is a keen interest in learning and problem solving, working both indoors and outdoors, and to take your work seriously, but not yourself.”

BA has taken an initiative which the industry has identified as being a priority for some years now, but has not really done much about. Successful applicants will become full time Electronics and Communications Apprentice (Broadcast Technician) and upon completion will gain a Certificate III in Electronics and Communications.

Broadcast Australia is the market leader in developing innovative broadcasting infrastructure to service Australia’s radio and television industries, emergency services and mobile markets. The company is seeking “highly motivated applicants with a genuine interest in pursuing a career in electronics” to join as apprentices in the Sydney, Brisbane, Melbourne, Perth, Adelade, Shepparton and Newcastle Offices.
