ARN denies Sydney-Melbourne Breakfast

ARN has flatly denied reports it is considering a networked Sydney-Melbourne brekafast program for 2005.

The speculation has been fuelled by the recent axing of the Mix 101.1 FM breakfast team after rating badly for two years.

According to the rumour, Mix 106.5 FM’s Sammy Power would remain part of the new line up, with Paul Holmes – a Melbourne boy – shifting from his new WSFM drive show to anchor the networked program.

ARN Director of Programming, Jeremy Millar, has told Sue Javes in The Sydney Morning Herald’s ‘Guide’: “It’s not on the cards at the moment, and we’re in the process of re-signing Jason Bouman for the Sydney show.”
