B105’s 2013 Christmas appeal raises a record $580,473.64

The results are in, and B105’s 2013 Christmas Appeal was officially a record breaking year, with a grand total of $580,473.64 being raised for the Royal Children’s Hospital Brisbane. This is the highest total in nine years.

The B105 Christmas Appeal returned for its 19th year in 2013, running for only one week as opposed to two weeks in the past. Despite the shorter campaign period, B105 still raised recording breaking funds to continue to help brighten the lives of sick kids and their families.

Last year’s Christmas Appeal highlights included breakfast hosts Labby, Stav and Abby lighting up the iconic Story Bridge, the “Stand Up for Sick Kids” comedy night featuring Julia Morris, Ronny Chieng, Joel Creasy and Kat Davidson, and the annual outside broadcast at the hospital with special guest Taylor Henderson

Since 1995 the B105 Christmas Appeal has raised over $11 million, helping purchase lifesaving medical equipment and fund new research into childhood illness and disease.
