The Brisbane radio industry was urged to move quickly in its planning for digital radio at an AFTRS Digital Radio Roadshow seminar last Friday.
A crowded theatre full of radio people heard speakers from the Commercial sector, ABC, SBS and Community Radio speak about policy progress towards digital radio and also learnt about the technicalities of the new transmission medium that will bring radio into the modern digital era.
A range of innovative suggestions were shared in a ‘great ideas’ session during the roadshow after briefings about up-selling digital radio.
Important considerations for programmers and studio technicians were also discussed, with participants going away to plan the implementation of digital radio in Brisbane.
