The Hit Network’s Carrie Bickmore has successfully completed a half-marathon in gruelling conditions along the Great Wall of China.
The run was in honour of Donna Nottage, who passed away from brain cancer in March this year at the age of just 38, leaving behind her husband Sean and two young sons.
Carrie ran the Great Wall with Sean, and was close to tears as she revealed on the Hit Network’s Carrie & Tommy Drive show that it was one of the most incredible experiences of her life.
She described it as a spiritual and challenging journey, having endured extreme conditions as temperatures soared to 35 degrees.
Carrie’s run was part of her mission to raise $1 million for brain cancer.
